Privacy Policy

CDU Keyboard (“the app”) is a custom iOS keyboard for pilotage students, developed and operated by Melih FIRAT. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data. The current version is always available at cdu.fmckeyboard.com/privacy.
What the keyboard sees
Like every iOS keyboard, the CDU keyboard receives the keys you press and, to handle auto‑capitalisation and word deletion, the few characters around the cursor in the field you are typing in. This information is used only on your device, only while you type, and is never stored, logged or transmitted.
Full Access
iOS lets you grant a keyboard “Full Access”. CDU Keyboard requests it for one reason only: iOS mutes keyboard haptic feedback unless Full Access is enabled. The keyboard has no networking code, does not read your clipboard, contacts, location or files, and never sends anything anywhere. You can keep Full Access off; everything except the vibration keeps working.
Motion data
If “Keycap lighting follows tilt” is on, the keyboard reads the phone’s gravity vector to shade the keys. This data stays in memory on your device and is discarded immediately.
Purchases
The Annual Unlock and Lifetime Unlock in‑app purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app‑user identifier and your purchase status so we can unlock the keyboard on your devices. We do not receive your name, email or payment details. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Analytics and advertising
None. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising and no tracking.
Settings
Your preferences (haptics, auto‑capitalisation, etc.) are stored in a private container shared only between the app and its keyboard on your device.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
